I would be interested in knowing if anyone has had probs with insuring a "Non" standard 14 ? ? ? .......and How much this cost ??? ! ........ :unsure:

There was no increase for my full Akrapovic system! As for cams etc though!

Nightmare! Couldnt get it insured,or agreed value,so insured with akra and pc3?? 220 bloody pounds!

I`ve just gone with wicked too. Saved £100 and as said same insurance company red star ? £216
Got a quote for the zzr 14 (still thinking about buying one, that was £200 cheeper ) £426, £627.37 from "gordon bennitt"

Wicked qoute, GSX 1400 K3 with Power Commander, Beowolf exhausts, belly pan, uprated rear and front shocks and springs, custom seat and painted panels.

8 years n/c, f/c protected n/c and leagle help, SK postcode, garaged and rider in middle forties,

Can't wait to be an old bugger like all of you lot so that I can get cheaper insurance too :P :lol:

I might give them a try when it comes to renewal time (next month) and see what they quote compared with carole nash.

Ok slate me ll you will for the harleys but i have the following bikes;
2010 HD Street Glide
2008 FXDF Dyna
2006 1200 Sportster
2006 GSX 1400 ( yea ok my fav)...\
Its a multi bike policy with two insured riders me AND my OL and the total cost is a shade under £400 a year.....

Ebike wins for me!!

MCE is worth a try too, then argue it's not cheap enough with other quotes. I got both of mine for £360, thats FC, 3 years NCD, 3 years licence, parked outside, UK breakdown on Stroppy & Euro breakdown on 14. I even declared all the mods on both.
It's not dirt, it's a biodegradable stealth & anti-theft coating...

janine just did a quote with swinton for her on a 14,un-modded,1 yr,s no claim as her 1st bike and it came in at £340,only £60 more than a 2005 600 hornet...guess what she wants????? :lol: :lol:

just renewed mine with wicked too. not such a great discount as the Jay's got, but carole nash wanted £155 and I got identical with wicked for £126 :D

im 27,4yrs no claims,3points,and told them it was fitted with aftermarket cans..£201 fully comp..that was with a company off www.moneysupermarket.com.
