Don't mean to worry you, but it sounds too good. The only time I've got over 50mpg is ridding like a granny & not exceeding 75mph for an entire tank on main roads using naff all throttle for any accelerating.

Most of my riding if freeway and I am getting 6.8l/100km
Thats 34.6 mpg if Google is correct..
I didn't think that was too bad but 53mpg.. that sounds incredible

last Friday yielded a 180km tank, which got me 9.3L/100km, 25 Us mpg, 30 Imperial mpg. my equal worst figure.
the B-King had a smaller tank but averaged 10-15% better mpg than the 14 in all conditions. the b-king does have the modern busa motor, but i feel it was its slippery aerodynamics that helped the mpg.

- riding in Moscow which now became one big traffic jam with average speed about 30-40 km/h mostly on 3 gear my bike eat about 6,5 litres per 100 km
- travelling on long distances with stable speed 130-140 rm/h the comsumption is 6 litres per 100 km

not worked out how much it uses at santa pod on the strip though although I do know that from a full tank, including the 10 mile ride there from the fuel station, the second bar had disappeared in around 50 miles. normally disappears around 80+ miles

Anyway, there's no way I'm keeping standards on long enough to see if it improves/worsens fuel consumption. Scorpions back on tonight!
